Claire Ottenstein Ross,
originally from New Jersey and one of the founders of Poets Northwest,
is married to Tom Ross and is a mother of two. She has published more
than 80 books of other poets through Counterpoint Publishing Co., of
which she is the editor and owner; she has also published fourteen of
her own, and many of her works have been featured in prestigious
anthologies, journals, and magazines. She has given lectures at numerous
schools, community organizations, and writers’ conferences. A member of
the Poetry Society of Texas and of the National Federation of State
Poetry, Claire has received an abundance of awards and recognitions,
including the title of Poet Laureate of Poets Northwest in 1996.
Her latest book, Into the
Light, was published by Peggy Zuleika Lynch through Poetry in the Arts
Publishing in San Antonio, TX.
