Jeffrey Lickson was born in
New York City, grew
up in Connecticut,
and has lived with his wife, an artist and retired professor, in
Houston, Texas for the past 25 years. He has two children and five
grandchildren. He graduated from
Johns Hopkins University, the University of Pennsylvania, School
of Social Work, and earned a doctorate in instructional systems from
Florida State University. His careers include social work in
child welfare and
mental health,
instructional design and
management consulting in healthcare, aviation, government, high
technology, and the
petroleum industry, and community college and university
teaching. He is the author of
David Charles: the
Story of the Quincy 5, The Continuously Improving Self: a Personal Guide
to TQM, and I Am Cautious, a book of poetry. The judges selected Jeff
to be a Juried Poet in October's Houston Poetry Fest 2009.
